Razer Copperhead + Linux + lomoco Our friends at Linux-Gamers are hosting a new project entitled lomoco. The purpose of lomoco (which is based upon lmctl) is to provide proprietary Logitech mouse control features under Linux. These options range from changing the CPI and enabling/disabling SmartScroll or CruiseControl. There are also other features planned for future versions of lomoco that is presently at v1.0 BETA 1. As we had shared in our Razer Copperhead review, the mouse works flawlessly under Linux and can use all of the buttons with some X modifications, however, there continues to lack some of the features (such as DPI adjustment) that the Razer Windows drivers provide. The small button on the bottom of the Copperhead is able to adjust the mouse sensitivity somewhat under Linux, but many options are still lacking. With that said, we have intentions on either creating an entirely new FOSS project or modifying lomoco to offer support for the Razer Copperhead. If anyone is interested in contributing feel free to contact Phoronix/pyroCPU (as time is never on our side). For those who have no experience with the Razer Copperhead, or their previous optical mice for that matter, they are truly exceptional mice and very much worth investigating. For reference, below is the lsusb and /proc/bus/input/devices output for the USB Razer Copperhead.
