X2 - The Threat (BETA 2) Michael Simms, the CEO of Linux Game Publishing, has just announced to the closed BETA community for X2 - The Threat that the second BETA has now been finalized. Corrected in this closed build are countless memory leaks, the GTK dialog fix, and a vast array of other improvements. Due to the lack of any direct frame-rate advancements, we will refrain from publishing any X2 BETA 2 results at this time. However, what does this mean to you? Well, X2 - The Threat is now one step closer to making its public debut under Linux. We still have yet to hear a possible release date and LGP's website still hints at a November 2005 release...
