Compro Technology has recently unveiled its latest TV tuner products in its VideoMate series in the form of an external USB 2.0 device. The Compro Technology VideoMate U900 offers PAL/SECAM/NTSC support, professional media processor chip, and MPEG-1/MPEG-2/MPEG-4 recording, TV recording features include time-shifting, channel surfing, and still frame capture. Compro claims this is the smallest fully-functional external TV box in existence, and interfaces with the machine through a USB 2.0 port. Soon the Compro VideoMate U900 should be arriving at our Phoronix facilities and upon that we will see how it fares with MythTV and the general world of Linux.
