AASF v2.6.0 Linux Soon Last night Icculus (Ryan Gordon) had updated his finger and has appended the following statement -- ArmyOps 2.6.0 client for Linux and Mac coming soon. Linux ArmyOps server will be public soon, hopefully tomorrow. Of course, both the news is beneficial to existing alternative OS users (thanks to a majority of the America's Army Special Forces running Linux), and the client is very much anticipated by Linux and Macintosh OS users. For the past v2.5.0 release, Icculus had the game available for download within days after the Windows release, while in the past the v2.4.0 had never reached the public and earlier releases were delayed weeks. With Ryan's message, we are expecting to see the Linux server available anytime today, and are hoping to see the Linux/Mac client in possibly within a week or so. Additional information will be posted upon their respective releases or hearing additional information. Posted by Michael Larabel on February, 15 2006 |
