pyroCPU was originally designed by Phoronix in June of 2004 to be a small yet powerful CPU burn-in utility. Although its original version (1.0) did just that, the developers at Phoronix felt the program could still use some improvement so they decided to establish pyroCPU as an open source project. An entirely new re-built version of pyroCPU is under development, after the new version is complete, its source code will be made publicly available from our download section. However, before this new version can be released we are still in need of more help, especially additional developers.
